Halloween 2009

Ready for trick-or-treating! A pink cat, Sharpay from HS Musical and a little pirate!

This is our favorite camera pose.
Okay - we will try to smile nice for the camera (more importantly - MOM)!

A Goulish SceneDad and Jordan carving pumpkins!

I think I can get all of the guts out!

The one-handed "gut grab"Is this one the "great pumpkin?"
We had a nice time carving pumpkins and trick-or-treating this year. Sorry the pictures are out of order. I didn't have time to fix it!
The girls came away with a lot of Candy. For those who do not understand, trick-or-treating in the country is a lot different than in a city. You don't get just one piece of candy at a house. You receive 6 - 8 pieces. Math Lesson: 6 pieces of Candy x 14 houses x 3 little girls = THE MOTHER-LOAD of CANDY! Good thing we limit the candy to one treat a day. We should last until Valentine's Day when the madness begins again. Happy Halloween!

Harvest 2009

Here are a few pictures of our wheat harvest. The girls were waiting to ride in the combine with Todd. They had to "help" him fix some of the teeth before they could go a few rounds with Dad. Pray for a safe and bountiful harvest!

We had a great time in the Twin Cities this past week. We enjoyed a Twins Game with Todd's parents on Monday and a nice hotel stay. The girls and I had a fun time visiting my family and friends during the rest of the week. We visited the MN Zoo, Bunker Beach in Coon Rapids and the History Museum in St. Paul. Shopping was also a must! It was a great time but we were glad to be back home again.

We have had a busy few weeks in the Wieland household! Rachel and Sarah completed swimming lessons for the summer in TRF. We were able to visit with Todd's cousin and her family last weekend. The Pennington County Fair was going on so we headed up there for an evening of fun. Another important event - Sarah lost her first tooth! The tooth fairy came to our house and also showed up at Grandma Marilyn's. Sarah asked her Great Uncle Al if the tooth fairy came there too but she didn't make an appearance. Sarah received a dollar from Uncle anyway. The tooth fairy made a trip to Grandma T.'s house too! So Sarah made $4.25 on one tooth. I guess that Fairy gets around. Now we are gearing up for a trip to the Cities next week! Enjoy the pictures!
