And the wall came a-tumbling down!

Our old living room wall was knocked down today to reveal a much bigger space!!  Now to pick out carpet, paint color, furniture, fireplace, window treatments - so much to do!

A view from the entry way.  You can see where the old part ends (where the carpet is)
and the new begins!
A different view from the front door - you can see where the
double doors will be to enter the office.

Poor little guy!

Poor little guy - this is what a boy gets when his older sisters and cousin like to play dress-up.

Addition Part II

We began week 3 of our remodeling project.  All of the new windows have been installed and the framing in completed on the addition.  It turned out that we needed to reside the whole house instead of just the addition, so the crew started on that this week.  There is still quite a bit of work to be done on the inside (the living room wall needs to be knocked down, electrician needs to do some work, drywall, etc...).  Once the siding is finished and we install the new front door, the outside should be completed!
Front of the house - new window added.

Back of the house - the addition is added as well as new windows.
 Garage siding is completed!
New kitchen window - the poor lighting doesn't show that they are white.
Hanging out in what is left of the living room.  The old window is closed up so the new one can be centered.

Addition

The construction on the new addition to our house has begun!  We are extending our living room and adding an office space.  Our current office space will become a walk-in laundry/mud room after we break down the wall where our current washer and dryer is placed.  We will also be putting in new windows and front door as well as painting the shutters.  A gas fireplace is going into the new living room too!  We are already thinking about extending the deck next year.  Even though we are in the early stages of remodeling, it is still very exciting!  Maybe I can get a new kitchen in about 5 years ;)

Our Brother-in-law, Bob, is a contractor who is doing the job for us.

The left side will be the extension of the current living room and the right side will be the new office.

More pics

Look Dad!  I can farm with you because I have the right hat on.

Luke and his best bud, Peyton

Grandma Marilyn's lily - it has at least 200 blossoms on it!
Funny thing is, she threw this thing out a few years ago - it started growing so she transplanted it into this spot in her yard.  I have never seen a lily plant with so many blossoms on it.

Smores

Jordan loves her smores!  What a mess!

I love this picture because all of the marshmellow is stuck where a tooth should be!

This kid can sleep anywhere!

I can sleep on the floor, in the swing or out the door
I can sleep on my sister even when I haven't kissed her
I can sleep on cousins galore
Cousin One, Two, Three or Four
I can sleep standing up, in my crib or by my pup
With my eyes closed in a pair
I can sleep anywhere!

Rachel gets her contacts!

Rachel was so excited to get her contacts last week.  She has really worked hard to take care of them and is quickly becoming an expert at putting them in and taking them out.  She is growing up so fast!
