Our door had to be left open the other day when the drywall was being put on in the addition. Needless to say, there were a lot of flies in our house. As I was swatting flies and holding Luke, he started laughing every time I killed one. I had Rachel record him laughing at the fly swatter. Glad to see he enjoys cheap entertainment!

Whitney's Wedding
Our niece, Whitney, was married in Grand Rapids this past weekend. We had a wonderful time celebrating this special event in our family. Everyone in the family had a job: Todd was an usher, Rachel a Junior Bridesmaid, Sarah handed out programs, Jordan handed out bubbles, Luke tried to not drool on his tux and I sang and played piano. Here are some pics from the weekend!

Summer Drumline
Rachel participated in Summer Drumline this past June and July. They rehearsed every Friday during the two months and ended with a small performance during the RLF Summerfest.
Twin Cities Trip
We had a quick trip to the Cities at the end of July/beginning of August. My step-sister was gracious enough to let us invade her house for 3 nights - thanks Sonja and Kevin! It was a great time visiting with friends and family. Here are a few highlights of some things we did:
- We went to a beach and swam with our friends the Gustafsons
- Mall of America Underwater World and the Nickolodean Theme Park
- Mill City Museum (my favorite!)
- Ice cream with my friends the Simpsons
- Hanging out in the pool and visiting with the Schultes
- And (of course) a little bit of shopping!

Sorry I didn't get any pictures with my step-sisters, Dad or Karen. Things got a little busy with 10 kids in the house! At least there were no injuries and only 1 thing was broken.
