Easter Sunday
The Girls with the Klipping Cousins. If you look closely, Rachel and Jaden have the same dress on. No, this wasn't planned but they were excited when they found out they had the same one. Let's hope this doesn't happen in about 7 years when it is Prom time ;)
Ready for Easter Sunday!
Ready for Easter Sunday!
Thanks Easter Bunny!
I sure hope there is chocolate in this basket!
A new pink bunny for Jordan to cuddle with!
We began our Easter celebration with our church's Sunrise Service at 7:00 this morning. The church's Men's Club served a full breakfast after the service. They claim it's "world famous" - I don't know about that but it was really good! Todd's sister took the girls home with her and Todd and I stayed for the 10:30 Service. We fed 17 people today for dinner this afternoon and all of the little ones had a fun time with an outside Easter egg hunt. I sometimes wonder why the egg hunt has to take place when it is time to do the dishes? Who made that rule! Hee hee! What a wonderful day to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord! He has risen indeed!
Circus

I was able to take Jordan and Rachel (with two of her friends) to the Shrine Circus about a week ago. Sarah went with another group of children for a birthday party. The girls had a good time! The drive home was a little dicey due to heavy snow/slushy roads. Due to a variety of events, I ended up with 3 extra kids for an unplanned sleepover at the house. Let's just say I had to drive 30 mph home from Grand Forks and didn't want to drop extra kids off on the other side of the county. Everyone was safe and happy - that's the most important part!
Colorado Tour
This was the big year for my High School Choir's tour. Our destination was Denver, Colorado. The trip was tiring but very fun. We toured many sights including the Air Force Academy, 7 Falls, The Royal Gorge, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Hard Rock Cafe and the Museum of Colorado Prisons. We also saw an off-Broadway style show called "Traces." The best part was seeing the reactions of my students when they saw or experienced something they never have before. Here are a few pics from the sights we saw:

Easter Prep
All set for Easter Dinner! See Dad, I still use the china :)The Kid Table
The Adult Table (I guess we will let the 2 teenagers coming sit with us)
Our Finished Eggs (Neon Food Coloring works better than those kits you buy at the store.)
The Gang is working hard.
All Smiles!
At least if she spills, it will match her shirt!
Sarah working hard!
Rachel still enjoys this Easter Tradition.
because it takes a minimum of 3 years to earn a gold cup and she did it in 3 years. Way to go Rach!Wow! I can't believe it has been almost 3 months since I have posted! Sorry to those who are looking for weekly news of the Wieland Family. Here are a few updates:
1) The girls finished their basketball season. Although I can't brag about how successful they all were, I did see improvements and they had fun.
2) Rachel participated in the Piano Festival held in Thief River Falls. She earned 5 pts (the max) for her playing which means she will receive a gold cup at her piano recital this spring. This is a big deal
3) Todd stayed busy pushing snow and waiting for calves to be born. We are glad that the sun is finally beginning to make its appearance. Our yard looks like a swamp and we have had to park across the road so we don't damage our driveway. Not to mention, Todd was almost done seeding this time last year. Yuck!
4) In April, Todd and I went to Colorado with the Lafayette High School Band and Choir. We had a lot of fun with the kids but were certainly exhausted when we returned home. Thanks to Grandma Marilyn, Pa-pa and Grandma T. for holding down the fort when we were gone. I will try to post pictures from the trip soon.
5) Now we are gearing up for Easter tomorrow so I better go to bed! I have to be up before 5 AM in order to get everyone ready. We will have 17 people in our house for Easter. Check out the pictures of the tables!
